ITAMA 56 “GITANO”
First it was ITAMA 56...today it is “GITANO”!
“GITANO” while maintaining the essentiality of the lines that have made the ITAMA 56 iconic has undergone a meticulous refitting that has transformed this model into something unique.
The cockpit spaces have been redesigned with deeper seating, a less bulky dining table in smoked crystal, and the tambour area, where a teak top has been inserted to facilitate access towards the bow, which is now through an opening made in the center of the windshield as in the new generation Itama.
The aft sundeck, has been modified so that access is through a central passageway, without having to “walk on the cushioning” and allowing entry into the aft cabin.
The entire deck has been covered in teak with gray cauklings and, to further emphasize the width of the bow, the round-shaped sunpad bears the letter “H” as if to indicate a Helipad. Another important modification is that of the stern platform: the structure has been reinforced to ensure a greater load-bearing capacity and, whenever required, magically transform into a real beach club with a swimming pool.
However, it is once you reach the lower deck that you are surprised and welcomed into a modern open space: on the starboard side is the galley with a central peninsula and two stools, induction plate, teppanyaki, retractable Elika hood, 100-cm oven and vertical dual-zone wine cooler. On the left is an L-shaped sofa, surrounded by Bottega's wonderful leather details.
Bottega, was also chosen for the finishing of the master cabin, where, the detail of the original Grundig television provides a vintage atmosphere.
The guest cabin has been used as a “Nursery,” overlapping the port bed with a wooden frame with a baby crib and changing table, while, the second bed is dedicated to the “Nanny.” All this can be easily restored to the traditional double cabin.
The right soundtrack is provided by a respectable stereo system, no less than 12,000 watts!
